The AMI Capsule is a Cospas-Sarsat and MED approved float free capsule which combines an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) Also a 64GB float free storage medium to meet the MSC.333(90) and IEC 61996-1 Ed 2.0 VDR regulations.
The AMI Capsule has been designed in accordance with, and therefore complies to the MSC 333(90), IEC61097-2 and IEC61992-1 Ed.2.0 performance standards.
From July 1st, 2014 any new VDR system installed must store a minimum of 48 hours of voyage data. The AMI Capsule contains 64GB of storage capacity, consequently this will exceed the 48 hours of data required.
