Building business connections with Lymington Harbour
Last month our Company Director Martin Cox met with Ryan Willegers who is the Chief Executive and Harbour Master at Lymington Harbour in Hampshire.
Here at AMI Marine we value good relationships with local companies within the marine industry. It is important to us that we support local businesses and organisations.
Last week our second Company Director, Martin Davidson, was delighted to install our X-VHFR (VHF/Data Recorder) to the Lymington Harbour Office. We supplied and installed this at no charge.
As a Southampton based company, we often look to support local organisations, charities and small businesses with Beta equipment as a form of support to their operations and to help evolve our product design and development.
There are no strings attached, we want to cultivate good working relationships and visit local businesses from time to time to test the system hardware/software.
We also use the opportunity to receive feedback from companies about our equipment, in any shape or form! It is absolutely paramount that we understand our equipment in a ‘real use’ situation, this in turn helps us with product development and our desire to be constantly improving our products and services.
By sharing our products with local companies we hope that ‘word-of-mouth’ promotion takes place. Marketing in such a vast industry is sometimes a minefield! The age of the internet and social media have changed the market so much in just a short space of time. Within our industry business still relies heavily on ‘word-of-mouth’ and recommendation. Our industry recognises reputation and we wish to be at the forefront of this.
